Safe Storage of Noxious and Odorous Chemicals

April 30, 2015 4:08 pm | Comments

The new Safestore Vented Chemical Storage Cabinets from Air Science are ideal for storage of noxious or odorous chemicals. These cabinets minimize health and environmental risks in handling chemical vapors and residues, VOCs and general laboratory functions. The Air Science Multiplex filtration system protects the safety of personnel during use, maintenance and decontamination.

New Mycoplasma pneumoniae Monoclonal Antibodies

April 30, 2015 3:50 pm | Virostat, Inc. | Comments

ViroStat has released a new set of monoclonal antibodies to the P1 adhesin of M.pneumoniae. These new antibodies function well in IFA staining and as ELISA pairs for the detection of the P1 antigen.

LungFUSION Panel

April 30, 2015 3:42 pm | Comments

The LungFUSION Panel is designed to rapidly detect fusions in ALK, RET, or ROS1 genes for use on the MassARRAY System. The panel detects both known and de novo translocations at ~ 10% frequency, uses minimal sample quantities, and requires only 10 ng of cDNA template. RNA can be extracted from fresh, frozen, or formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissues (FFPE) and/or cell lines.

New Chip Technology Provides Rapid and Sensitive Quantitation of Small Molecules

April 30, 2015 3:21 pm | Comments

Protea Biosciences Group, Inc. presented a new Chip-Based Technology at the Pittsburgh Conference (Pittcon), in New Orleans, LA. This nanopost array technology, called REDIchip (Resonance-Enhanced Desorption Ionization), was invented in the laboratory of Akos Vertes, P.hD., Department of Chemistry, the George Washington University. The chip is designed to be used for mass spectrometric analysis on MALDI platforms without the need for matrix.

Exclusive Biotinylated Protein Collection

April 30, 2015 10:47 am | Comments

AMSBIO has launched a new and exclusive biotinylated protein collection specially designed to simplify your research. Attaching biotin to proteins and other macromolecules is an established labelling method which allows specific detection of biotin-tagged molecules via anti-biotin antibody, avidin or streptavidin based reporter systems.

The Thermo Scientific MYECL Imager is an imaging instrument that delivers one-touch image capture and analysis of protein and nucleic acid gels and Western blots. Featuring a compact, benchtop footprint, the MYECL Imager incorporates charge-coupled device (CCD) camera technology.

System Replaces Film-based Western Blots

April 29, 2015 10:11 am | Comments

LI-COR Biosciences announces the launch of the C-DiGit Blot Scanner. C-DiGit Blot Scanner is a digital replacement for film-based chemiluminescent Western blots that eliminates the need for a traditional darkroom.

Magna ChIRP RNA Interactive Kits

April 28, 2015 4:56 pm | EMD Millipore | Comments

The Magna ChIRP RNA Interactome Kits allow researchers to more easily identify, recover and analyze regions of chromatin that interact with chromatin-associated RNAs such as long non-coding RNA (lncRNA). The highly effective multiprobe-based capture strategy uses cross-linked chromatin to provide reliable detection and discovery of RNA-associated genomic DNA sequences, RNA sequences and proteins.

Western Blot Detection System

April 28, 2015 10:17 am | Comments

Molecular Devices announced the launch of the ScanLater Western Blot Detection System. The system combines western blot membrane detection with a multimode microplate reader platform, eliminating the need to acquire a separate dedicated western blot system.
