Incubator Has Variable Oxygen Control
The Thermo Scientific Heracell i CO2 incubator features variable oxygen control. Ideal for advanced applications in the area of stem cell research, regenerative and personalized medicine and other protocols that necessitate reduced oxygen concentrations, the incubator models are also available for hypoxic experimentation where oxygen levels above atmospheric levels are required. To facilitate rapid recovery characteristics, incoming N2 gas is humidified upon delivery, in hypoxic experimentation. Models incorporate advanced zirconia oxide O2 sensor technology with convenient auto-calibration capability, as well as a choice of long life thermal conductivity or proprietary dual beam IR CO2 sensors, to match your specific research needs and work environment. All sensors are compatible with an integral ContraCon high temperature cleaning cycle which avoids the need for their removal, and which is proven safe and effective by independent testing laboratories. Operating and performance data is easily input and accessed through the unique iCAN touch screen user interface, which provides on screen performance trend graphing and the ability to select from a variety of languages, simplifying interaction for all users. Each incubator is supplied with an innovative gas tight segmented inner door design, which enables selective access to the culture chamber without disturbing the entire environment, to minimize recovery times, contamination risk and operational costs.
