Polymer Reagent Kit Prevents Tissue Staining
Vector Laboratories announced a new addition to the Vector M.O.M. (Mouse-on-Mouse) family of detection reagents. This latest new product is the Vector M.O.M ImmPRESS Peroxidase Polymer Kit. It allows the use of mouse primary antibodies on mouse tissue without background staining, by using a sensitive, one-step, non-biotin M.O.M. ImmPRESS Polymer Reagent. This polymer reagent also provides a time savings in the detection protocol, since it is ready-to-use in one step. The kit contains three components: 0.6 ml M.O.M. Mouse Ig Blocking Reagent (concentrate), 30 ml R.T.U. 2.5 percent Normal Horse Serum and 15 ml R.T.U. M.O.M. ImmPRESS Anti-Mouse Ig Reagent, and is sufficient to stain approximately 150 mouse tissue sections. Offered as Cat. No. MP-2400, the kit is currently available from inventory.
The split screen image shows adjacent sections of mouse intestine. The left hand image indicates background staining (brown) when using a standard anti-mouse Ig polymer system and the right hand image shows no background staining when applying the Vector M.O.M. ImmPRESS kit. Sections are counterstained blue with hematoxylin and no primary antibody was applied.
