Blood Pump (13237)

Wed, 06/18/2008 - 10:44am

The Pulsatile is ideal for many vascular procedures including angioplasty, disease models, or imaging studies. Blood flow can be adjusted by two means, allowing frequency and stroke volume to be altered. Output closely simulates the ventricular action of the heart, which provides physiological advantages in blood flow for perfusion in cardiovascular and hemodynamic studies. The pumps are useful for isolated-organ perfusion, whole-body perfusion, stent research, heart-valve studies, and cellular blood-profile studies. Four models provide adjustable stroke volumes from 0.05 to 100 ml. Harvard Apparatus, 800-272-2775, www.harvardapparatus.com.
