Bio-Rad Laboratories launched a new suite of protein purification systems, the NGC medium pressure modular chromatography systems along with a suite of plug-and-play modules that enable researchers to expand the system’s capabilities. The medium pressure chromatography systems enable users to modify their capability based on the users’ changing throughput or application needs. Functions of the NGC system are controlled by Bio-Rad’s ChromLab software that includes instrument control, method development, real-time monitoring, chromatogram comparison and peak analysis. The software’s instrument controls are designed around a novel, fluidics scheme interface that is customizable. The software provides real-time fluidics path and module status to ensure accuracy. Components of the fluidics scheme can be controlled on-the-fly to achieve optimal separation conditions. The NGC systems can also be controlled using the attached touch screen control interface, which provides the same level of control flexibility without the need for a computer adjacent to the system.
