The Blood Pump allows adjustment of blood flow by two means: the user can alter the frequency of the stroke and the volume of the stroke, which permits simulating either a normal or diseased heart. Pulsatile output closely simulates the ventricular action of the heart. This action provides physiological advantages in blood flow for perfusion in cardiovascular and haemodynamic studies. The pump is ideal for isolated organ perfusion, whole body perfusion, stent research, heart valve studies, and cellular blood profile studies. There are four models available with stroke volumes adjustable from 0.05 ml to 100 ml per stroke.
