Digital X-Ray System
Digital X-ray Specimen 4000 and 4000 Pro Systems deliver greater than 25 line pairs per millimeter with no geometric magnification. Cooled 4 mega-pixel KODAK CCD camera combined with proprietary phosphor screen technology and a 10× zoom lens images specimens up to 20 × 20 cm. Useful for small animal research, forensics, pathology, marine biology and botanical specimens, the system’s shielded, self-contained cabinet is designed for specimen radiography and exceeds requirements for Federal Regulation 21 CFR 1020.40 radiation safety. True 16-bit imaging produces more than 65,000 levels of grayscale resolution for accurate x-ray density measurement. Integrated analysis software enables quantification, annotation and database storage of radiography images. The units accommodate the use of traditional film. DXS 4000 Pro offers full automation and can be upgraded to optical molecular imaging capabilities, including multi-wavelength fluorescence, radioisotopic, and luminescence imaging.
