KODAK X-SIGHT Imaging Agent Antibody Conjugates are now offered for in vitro imaging applications. An extension of X-SIGHT agents for in vivo applications, these organic fluorescent nanoparticles can be used in Western blotting applications. Once the proteins are separated, a primary antibody will target the specific protein of interest. The antibody conjugates attach to the primary antibody and illuminate when excited by the appropriate wavelength of fluorescent light. The conjugates are biocompatible and non-toxic, and thus provide a bright and robust platform for translating molecular imaging experiments from in vitro to in vivo applications. The products are available conjugated to a variety of secondary antibodies in four distinct excitation and emission wavelengths from just above UV to near IR, making them useful in the multiplex detection of proteins. To minimize cross reactivity, the secondary antibodies have been affinity purified and are highly cross-absorbed.
