The Nucleofector Kit and two new 96-well Shuttle Kits are tailored for use in transfection of mouse dendritic cells, and enable researchers to investigate the function of these important immune cells. Using nucleofection, mouse dendritic cells can be transfected with efficiency up to 59% and cell viability up to 93%. In parallel the optimized parameters facilitate preservation of functionality, tested by the ability of nucleofected dendritic cells to secrete IL-6 triggered by induction with LPS. All three kits are dedicated to the transfection of DNA and siRNA. The Shuttle kits work with low cell numbers (down to 2.5吆4 mature cells per well of a 96-well Nucleocuvette), thus saving precious animal resources.
