The Nano DSC series III biopolymer calorimeter features built-in computer controlled cell pressurization, which allows volumetric properties of biopolymers to be determined. The instrument can detect heat changes with as little as 10 μg of biopolymer. Researchers can study almost any thermal transition occuring in dilute biopolymer solution in the temperature range of 㪢 to +160 C. The ability to measure absolute heat capacities allows examination of biopolymer solution comformation and solvation as well as subtle changes in folding rather than just complete unfolding. The study of biopolymer thermal stability and the effects of biopolymer or ligand interactions on macromolecule structure and stability parameters is facilitated.
