Interleukin-19 Monoclonal
Purified monoclonal antibody raised against human Interleukin-19 is available from R&D Systems. IL-19 is a novel member of the multifunctional IL-10 family. It is secreted as a monomer that contains a unique bundle of seven amphipathic helices. There are two potential N-linked glycosylation sites and the molecule is likely to be glycosylated. IL-19 expression is limited to monocytes, activated keratinocytes, and potentially B cells. Functionally, IL-19 induces IL-6 and TNF-α expression by monocytes, and it may drive T cells toward a Th2 phenotype.
