Fluoronunc and Luminunc LockWell modules are designed for enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) applications in immunology and in vitro diagnostics (IVD) that employ luminescence and fluorescence detection technologies. LockWell modules lock into the LockWell frame as individual wells or in strips of eight using a spring-lock mechanism that secures each individual well from below. The frame holds all the wells at the same horizontal level to prevent potential jamming in automated systems. While transparent LockWell modules are widely used for IVD applications, the advent of new instrumentation employing luminescence and fluorescence detection created the need for the new black and white LockWell modules. Surface coatings available include MaxiSorp, which is optimized for passive binding of Immunoglobulin G (IgG) and PolySorp, which is useful for passive binding of most hydrophobic surfaces.
