TRF measurement technology improves assay performance for cellular assays as the interference of background fluorescence is minimized. TRF labels are especially suitable for multi-label assays because of narrow emission peaks and different fluorescence lifetimes. TRF multi-labeling is also commonly used for the detection of binding assays using fluorescence resonance energy transfer (TR-FRET). Fast kinetic assays such as Ca²⁺ flux studies and enzyme kinetics benefit from the reader’s built-in dispenser, which allows simultaneous dispensing and measurement directly from reaction onset.
