Spectrophotometry Of DNA/RNA, Proteins
The IMPLEN NanoPhotometer, a UV/Vis spectrophotometer, provides users with the ability to perform ultra low and standard volume (starting from 0.7 microliters) applications with no dilution necessary. Cuvetteless and standard cuvette measurements can be made. Features include a full wavelength scan from 200 to 950 nm in less than 4 seconds, kinetics or standard curve calculations as well as OD600 measurement, and fully integrated software with predefined general photometric features. A wide dynamic range allows the analysis of, for example, dsDNA up to 8,000 ng/microliters without a physical dilution of the sample necessary. Analysis of colorimetric protein assays and the concentration determination of even highly concentrated purified proteins with UV280 is possible. This instrument is useful in applications like nucleic acid (dsDNA, ssDNA, RNA, oligos), labeling efficiency (dye incorporation for microarrays), proteins (Bradford, Lowry, BCA, Biuret, UV) and cell density/OD600.
