Micro-Slides
Micro-Slides (μ-Slides) allow cell culturing and high resolution microscopy on the same slide. The high optical quality of the Slides allows their utilization for cell based assays in research and high throughput applications. The slides can be used for all fluorescence based techniques and in combination with phase contrast, DIC and confocal microscopy. Cell or tissue samples are handled in parallel. Eighteen-well slide setup allows mounting of 18 different samples, and facilitates washing and staining steps. Even at a 30 μl volume, optimal cell growth conditions are preserved while minimizing the consumption of valuable reagents. Thus, the total costs of bio-imaging assays can be reduced, and protocols for immunofluorescence and Fluorescence In Situ Hybridization (FISH) are facilitated significantly. The slides are made of a high-quality plastic material, which is chemically robust and exhibits perfect optical properties. Placed in an incubator, gas exchange allows cell growth inside the channels any time. Various protein and polymer coatings are available, as well as eight different slide formats, including disposable perfusion devices. The slides are delivered in sterile packaging and can be easily loaded with cell suspension.
