Multi-Purpose Bioreactor
The Automatic Perfused HFB (Hydrodynamic Focusing Bioreactor) System is a multi-purpose bioreactor that provides automatic control of major process parameters. The system is equipped with controls for pH, D.O., rotation, perfusion and temperature, and includes pumps for acid, base, and medium perfusion/infusion. Up to four analog input sensors are accommodated. Reactor is easily removed for autoclaving and for rapid interchangeability with backup vessels. The HFB™ is a rotating dome-shaped cell culture vessel with a centrally located sampling port and an internal rotating viscous spinner attached to a rotating base. It simultaneously produces a low-shear fluid culture environment and a variable hydrodynamic focusing force that can control the movement, location, and removal of suspended cells and tissues from the bioreactor. Custom scale-ups versions are available.
