A UV sterilization source reduces decontamination time to 30 minutes, enabling the system to be ready for operation with minimal interruption. Microprocessor control and monitoring of temperature, humidity, and CO₂ concentration ensures that optimal conditions for cell growth are maintained. A rear wall plenum airflow distribution feature ensures that conditions in the entire chamber are stable and uniform. High relative humidity (>=95%) maintains optimum osmotic pressure in the cells, which is ideal for long-term cultures. Chamber interiors are constructed of 304 stainless steel and exteriors are of heavy gauge steel with a baked enamel finish. Rounded chamber corners facilitate cleaning, and all shelves, shelf supports, and brackets are easily removed.
