VolumeCheck single-plate volume verification instrument uses non-contact sensors to determine the level of standard solutions like water, alcohol, or DMSO in well plates, tube racks, or commonly used vials less than 70 mm in height. A robotic instrument generates liquid level data for each well location. Liquid level data is translated into visual volume and data results. The instrument is calibrated to a lab’s particular labware and solutions and provides well or tube volume data in as little as 35 seconds per rack. Output data can be tailored to the requirements of a specific LIMS. VolumeCheck can be integrated directly with LIMS systems or robotics via ActiveX controls. Sample library management and quality-control protocols are maximized during the drug discovery process. Human error is eliminated by displaying color-coded results which are customized by the end-user. Volume inspection is accurate to ±10 μl.
