Microwave-Assisted Synthesis
Nautilus integrated sample preparation system incorporates a microwave to enhance speed, reproducibility, and yield in synthesis. The Navigator is based on LISSY, CALLI, and LIPOS workbenches with a cutout on the right side for the microwave. It offers the options of a pipetting robot, including dispensing of dry materials such as powders, resins, and salts, as well as liquids, mixing, adding reagents, level detection of liquids, disposable tips, etc. Integrated with shakers, cooling or heating vortexers, vacuum stations, and balances, it becomes a chemical workstation. For safe microwave treatment, pressure seals are automatically put on the reaction tubes prior to feeding it into the microwave. It also decaps the tubes if necessary for sample addition or retrieval. The Navigator is used for microwave synthesis or is combined with sample preparation and/or post synthesis work-up all on the same platform. Navigator software is based on WinLissy and communicates with the Discover microwave. For automatic weigh-in, WeighWizard software is optionally available.
