Spectrophotometer
Biowave Spectrophotometer is a simple instrument for those in molecular biology/biotech disciplines who are working with DNA or proteins derived from bacteria or yeast's, and has four preprogrammed DNA concentration programs, as well as five for proteins. All the normal protein methods are available and can be modified to suit varying applications. It can accept samples as small as 50 μl, allowing the use of ultra micro cuvettes where sample is in short supply. Diode array detection technology does not require a cover over the cuvette chamber. Up to 99 calibration curves and output data can be stored to a PC. This allows scans to be collected, overlaid, and manipulated using Microsoft Excel. The new optical layout scans over the entire range (200 to 820 nm), and the whole scan can be displayed.
