Micro HPLC Adds Fluorescence Detection

Nanostream, provider of high-throughput microfluidic analytical systems has announced the addition of fluorescence detection to its Veloce micro parallel liquid chromatography (μPLC) system. Fluorescence detection increases system sensitivity and selectivity and enables detection for separation-based assays. Separation-based assays are ratiometric and offer flexibility in attaching a tag to a substrate, thereby reducing assay development time. With the addition of fluorescence detection, the Veloce system offers a high-throughput format for separation-based assays. By enabling 24 simultaneous analyses, the Veloce system serves as a detector for a large number of samples. Customers may request fluorescence as an add-on package to the Veloce system, which comes standard with UV absorbance detection. The Veloce system is designed to enable all detection modes to operate simultaneously so that orthogonal information is possible for every separation.
