Instant ELISAs
Instant ELISA facilitates the quantitative detection of human TRANCE. TRANCE (or RANKL) is a member of the TNF superfamily that emerges as a key regulator of the immune system, of bone development, and of homeostasis. The interaction between TRANCE and its receptor TRANCE-R can substitute the function of CD40/CD40L. A soluble form has recently been described as an independent predictor of non-traumatic fracture. Proprietary Instant ELISAs cut down bench time to 15 minutes. The assay involves a simple four-step process: add water and sample, incubate and wash, add TMB, and stop the reaction. Key is the use of a microplate that contains freeze-dried, premixed quantities of the standard protein, coating antibody, streptavidin-HRP, and sample diluent. Standard protein titration as well as reagent dilution and addition are eliminated; the number of washings required is also reduced.
