G:BOX Chemi XT16 automated chemiluminescence and fluorescence imaging and analysis system features a light-tight darkroom. A 16 bit camera with an f 0.95 variable aperture lens makes it possible to produce accurate images of large gels and blots. PC control of the motor driven stage allows the system to memorize and feed-back set positions for specific applications. The camera provides 6.3 effective mega pixel resolution and is ultra-cooled to separate close band and spot images with virtually no background noise, even when imaging chemiluminescence blots for long exposure times. An overhead EPI white lighting module, a UV to Visible light NovaGlo converter screen, and a 20 cm × 20 cm UV transilluminator (other sizes available) allow rapid and accurate imaging of common DNA and protein stains. The unit can be fitted with Syngene’s Epi RGB LED lighting, dual UV Epi or blue Epi lighting, precision filters and a blue light converter screen, ensuring suitability for a host of sample types.
