Automated Image Analyzer
GeneGnome automated image analyzers come with a 16-bit cooled camera inside a compact, light-tight cabinet and a new white light source. The camera is fully integrated to a processor and flat screen monitor and utilizes the multiplexing capabilities of the system for fast and accurate molecular weight analysis. Several versions of the instrument are available, and are capable of imaging different size samples up to a maximum of 17 cm × 15 cm. Set up is quick: The large, fixed-aperture lens eliminates time spent adjusting the camera. Samples can be loaded into the system’s automatic slide-out drawer and their images captured instantly with just one click. The system includes GeneTools image analysis software, which can produce results in less than 8 seconds and perform 1-D lane analysis and molecular weight and quantity calculations.
