The Sorvall RC3BP Plus low-speed centrifuge is offered for blood banking, bio-processing and general sample processing applications. The electronic lid-latching system provides improved ease-of-use, while the operator interface makes set-up and operation easy. The same rotor sets and protocols used on the previous model can be used without requiring any changes. As a result the Sorvall RC3BP Plus can process a wide range of bags, bottles and tubes at volumes up to 12 blood bags or 6 × 1 L of sample. The model also features the Accumulated Centrifugal Effect (ACE), which consistently reproduces the total centrifugal effect by compensating for variations between runs and instruments regardless of rotor load or acceleration every time. Blood-banking and bioprocessing procedures are carried out with strict adherence to a number of internal and agency-wide standards.
