384-Well Plates
Thermo Electron Corp. has announced new additions to its Microtiter® family of microplates — the Immulon® 1B, 2HB, and 4HBX; Microlite™ 1; and Multiflour® 1. These 384-well plates, available in clear, white, or black pigments, are designed for high throughput of assays. The 384 Immulon 1B, 384 Immulon 2HB, and 384 Immulon 4HBX have high binding affinity for peptides and proteins and are useful for solid-phase binding assays. The Microlite 1 white plates are offered for chemiluminescent and bioluminescent assays, while the Microflour 1 black plates can be used for fluorescent ELISA assays. The new plates offer maximum well volume of 130 μl with an optimal working volume of 10 to 100 μl and square well plate design with rounded corners that ensures efficient washing and minimizes wicking.
