Cell Toxicity, Proliferation Assay
CytoScan™-LDH measures cytosolic enzyme lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) release as cells die. Released LDH is measured with a color producing diaphorase linked tetrazolium salt reaction. The amount of color produced is proportional to the number of cell deaths. Quantitate the color produced by reading the plate with a standard plate reader. Results can be expressed as percentage of cell survival or cell death. The product is used with both suspension and adherent cells. It detects low level damage to cell membrane and is simple and safe to use. The assay can be read using titer plate readers for high throughput applications.
