Acumen Explorer laser-scanning fluorescence microplate cytometer enables the development and execution of cell-based high content screening assays. The instrument offers a non-confocal optic system that permits focus-free, area-based scanning of fluorescent objects located on the bottom of microplates. Any SBS standard microplate can be scanned, including high-density 1536 well plates. The cytometer offers 488 nm laser excitation and up to 4 channels of data collection. Open architecture provides the freedom to assemble morphological, spectral and fluorescence intensity measurements to extract data from cellular assays. Applications include cytotoxicity, apoptosis, protein kinase activation, cell proliferation, neurite outgrowth, protein translocation and reporter gene activation.
