Fluorescence Microplate Cytometer For High Content Screening
Acumen Explorer™ laser-scanning fluorescence microplate cytometer facilitates the development and execution of cell-based, high-content screening assays. The instrument's proprietary, non-confocal optic system permits focus-free, area-based scanning of fluorescent objects located on the bottom of microplates. This architecture offers the ability to scan any SBS standard microplate at high speed, including high-density 1536 well plates. The cytometer offers 488 nm laser excitation and up to 4 channels of data collection. Open architecture software allows the user to assemble morphological, spectral and fluorescence intensity measurements to extract key data from cellular assays. Particularly suitable for applications where whole cell fluorescence is quantified, typical instrument applications include cytotoxicity, apoptosis, protein kinase activation, cell proliferation, neurite outgrowth, protein translocation and reporter gene activation.
