QBM Cell Science frozen neuronal cells can be simply thawed and cultured and provide reliable high quality, high yield cultures of disassociated primary neurons. The ready-to-use-neurons reduce animal use, express characteristic neuronal cell markers, and display normal electrophysiological properties, neurotransmitters and receptors. They allow control of the experimental/assay timetable, affording speed, convenience and reproducibility. Research operations utilizing toxicology or drug target assays can stock these cells for high throughput assays with minimal inter-run variability. Initial product offerings include neurons from various rat brain regions; mouse CNS cells and rat myenteric neurons will soon be available.
