Nitric Oxide Assay Kits
Nitric Oxide and Total Nitric Oxide Assay kits provide quantitative determination of nitrite and nitrate in biological fluids (96 determination kit). The Nitric Oxide kit uses the enzyme Nitrate Reductase to convert nitrate to nitrite. Nitrite is then detected as a colored azo dye product of the Griess reaction that absorbs visible light at 540 nm. The interaction of nitric oxide (NO) in a system is measured by the determination of both nitrate and nitrite concentrations in the sample. The relative levels of nitrite and nitrate can vary substantially, therefore the most accurate determination of total NO production requires quantitation of both nitrate and nitrite. The Total Nitric Oxide Kit is a complete kit for the quantitative determination of total Nitric Oxide (NO) in biological fluids (192 Determination Kit). The kit uses the enzyme Nitrate Reductase to convert nitrate to nitrite. Nitrite is then detected as a colored azo dye product of the Griess reaction that absorbs visible light at 540 nm. The interaction of NO in a system is measured by the determination of total nitrate and nitrite concentrations in the sample. This kit allows for the total determination of both NO products in the sample by conversion of all the sample nitrate into nitrite, followed by the determination of the total concentration of nitrite in the sample.
