Phosphoprotein Gel Stain
Pro-Q Diamond phosphoprotein gel stain allows selective detection of phosphoproteins directly in polyacrylamide gels, with no need for blotting. The stain can be used with standard SDS gels and with 2-D gels, with sensitivity in the range of 1-16 ng of phosphoprotein per band or spot. The signal is linear over three orders of magnitude and can be used to analyze the phosphorylation state of single proteins or an entire proteome. Phosphoproteins detected with this phosphoprotein gel stain can subsequently be identified by mass spectrometry, with no interference from the dye.
