Compound Storage, Retrieval
SmaRTStore provide automated storage for vials, plates and tubes at temperatures from ambient to 㪬 C. it is capable of handling in the region of 260,000 1.4 ml. microtubes, or 5000 shallow well plates, within a footprint of 2000 mm W × 1500 mm D × 2400 mm H. Advanced robotics are deployed for rapid picking and retrieval. The samples are selected via an intuitive "vending mode" touch screen interface and are delivered through an airlock chamber. Deposits are made through the "CD-style" portal and are tracked by barcode scanning. If large numbers of deposits are regularly made, the SmaRTStore can house stacker units and incubators to give walk-away functionality. Remote d-SPRINT software provides flexible compound library management, and even enables access via the Internet. The system is easy to configure with LIMS and any other third party equipment, is easy to install, requires no special facilities, and fits through a standard single door.
