Mouse Models Of Human Cancer Consortium
Funded by the National Cancer Institute, the Mouse Models of Human Cancer Consortium (MMHCC) supports the derivatization and validation of mouse models, as well as the generation of resources, information, and innovative approaches to the application of mouse models in cancer research. All repository strains are embryo-rederived regardless of health status upon arrival. Following rederivation, strains are not released to the Animal Production Area until clearing all health monitoring (performed on a quarterly basis). All new strains are genotyped to verify the presence of the mutant allele or transgene. Homozygous strains are genotyped once yearly for quality control purposes. Mouse models are provided free through the repository and are shipped via truck.
