Automated Oocyte Screening
Roboocyte was developed to provide the pharmaceutical industry and academic researchers an automated system to record ion currents in oocytes of Xenopus laevis with the two-electrode-voltage-clamp technique (TEVC) in a 96-well dish. A single system can accomplish cDNA/mRNA injection in 96 oocytes per well, subsequent TEVC recording and wash of the cells in between the recording sessions, and setting up perfusion paradigms.
