Competent Cells
The ECOS range of Competent Cells provides a fast, single-step transformation process. The simple protocol takes just under 60 seconds from addition of DNA to plating. The cells always maintain their stated efficiency levels. Differing throughput levels are accommodated by various formats, including single tubes and 12 × 8 tube strips. Full automation is supported for most robotic systems via hard-shell, 96-well PCR plates.
