Benchtop Mass Spectrometer
The microflex LT benchtop MALDI-TOF mass spectrometer (Bruker Daltonics) is offered for clinical proteomics and for the routine analysis of peptides, proteins and other large molecules. Due to a gridless ion source, this instrument provides sensitivity in both positive and negative ion mode. Integrated Compass software facilitates intuitive operation by non-expert users and in multi-instrument laboratories, and includes a comprehensive bioinformatics software suite. Proprietary AnchorChip technology provides exactly-positioned samples on the MALDI-target for robust automatic measurements, as well as a sensitivity boost by up to two orders of magnitude. The instrument can be an integral module in the ClinProt biomarker discovery and clinical proteomics system. ClinProt is an integrated set of tools for peptide and protein biomarker discovery, identification and validation, including automated magnetic bead-based sample preparation methods, and ClinProTools comprehensive analysis, visualization and model building software for clinical research.
