Freeze Dryer Control System
Wizard 2.0 Freeze Dryer Control System provides full process automation with complete recipe management and critical process alarms. Available on the Advantage, Genesis, Ultra, and Benchmark freeze dryers, Wizard controls single or multiple refrigeration compressor applications. Its microprocessor handles process management multiple temperature transducers while providing immediate alarm for out-of-designed-cycle conditions. A center-stage LCD provides a built-in synoptic screen and plots the shelf profile of the directed shelf temperature. The display provides a progress bar graph and, by continually scanning all configured transducers, indicates the out-of-tolerance condition if an alarm occurs. Accompanying software allows the freeze-drying cycle to be either shelf-or product-driven. Wizard accommodates up to eight type-T product thermocouple probes, and with pressure (vacuum) control steps linked to each primary drying step, progress is monitored through a status window that automatically scans phase date and all selected transducers. The system offers standard inert gas bleed, vacuum pump control, or power saver pressure control, and up to 12 thermal treatments and 16 primary drying steps as "shelf-hold" or "shelf-rate" are provided.
