Rotanta 46 RSC refrigerated, robotic centrifuge features pc control and rotor positioning. Controlled by remote optical data transmission, it automatically performs routine laboratory tasks. If needed, all functions can be controlled manually via control panel. A hatch in the lid opens before and after each cycle, allowing a robotic arm to reach into the centrifuge. Models are available with either a front or rear access hatch for processing tubes, bottles, and microtitration plates. The drive motor positions the swing-out rotor and firmly holds it in any of the 4 required positions under the hatch. The bucket position is adjustable, and offers accuracy of <0.6mm. After each cycle the drive automatically turns the rotor to position No. 1. Rotanta 46 RSC features a metal housing and lid, stainless steel centrifuging chamber, as well as impact resistant panel coating. Maximum rpm is 4,500, with maximum rcf of 4,754 ×g. System capacity is 4 × 750 ml. Safety features include lid lock and hold, hatch lock, emergency lid lock release, imbalance switch-off and overheating protection.
