Multi-Purpose Image Analyzer
ChemiGeniusXE 3 multi-purpose image analysis system incorporates a computer-controlled darkroom with auto-lock sliding doors that houses a 3.2 million pixel resolution, 16 bit CCD camera for separation of images with close bands or spots. The camera, offering 90% quantum efficiency, can detect a range of colored dyes and is cooled to 㫔 C to reduce noise when developing chemiluminescent signals over long exposure times. Interchangeable and fixed lenses and an adjustable multi-height sample tray allow working with large or small gels and blots. A 25 cm × 30 cm evenly lit transilluminator is included, as is a white light pad, Epi-UV (254 nm and 365 nm) illumination and computer-controlled 10-position filter wheel for imaging different chemiluminescent and fluorescent dyes. GeneTools analysis software automates applications such as 1-D lane analysis, Rf/molecular weight calculations, band matching and multi-layer gel analysis.
