Nano25 8-channel pipettor (Hudson Control Group, Inc.) offers transfer volumes ranging from 25 nl to 10 μl. Real-time documented confirmation is provided for all aspirated and dispensed volumes. Each channel offers individual volume control. Unit footprint is 19× 22. Additional system features include: non-contact dispensing into both microplates and slides; in-line track compatibility for high throughput; source liquid level detection; and 96-, 384- and 1536-well dispensing. A closed-loop, pressure-based feedback system assures accurate, verifiable transfers of even small volumes. The nano25 can also be used in non-contact microarray dispensing. Automated diagnostics detect and correct clogging; adapt to liquid temperature; correct automatically for viscosity; correct for liquid compressibility; hold factory calibration for millions of cycles. CVs are 10% at 25 nl to 4% at 1 μl. The system is controlled via an ordinary RS-232 port and is fully-compatible with Hudson’s LabLinx and PlateCrane microplate handling technologies, as well as all other laboratory robotic arms. It also operates from a stand-alone user GUI for manual control and operation.
