SNP Genotyping Arrays
GeneChip Mapping 10K 2.0 Array and GeneChip Mapping 100K Array Set facilitate genotyping over 10,000 SNPs and provide an array set for genotyping over 100,000 SNPs. The Mapping 10K Array is used for linkage analysis and cancer genetics studies, and provides a number of markers and high resolutions for linkage analysis. It allows scientists to localize genes linked to diseases like neonatal diabetes and bipolar disorder. The arrays have also been used to genotype and characterize chromosomal abnormalities simultaneously at a level of detail not possible using previous technologies. The Mapping 100K Array Set enables high-density genome scans and genome-wide association studies on the genetics of complex diseases and drug response. Both the 10K 2.0 and 100K arrays use the same scalable assay. Genotyping either 10,000 or 100,000 SNPs requires only one universal primer and a simple protocol.
