PCR Strip Rotor
New rotor for Kendro's SORVALL® Pico and Fresco Microcentrifuges facilitates the processing of PCR strips and individual PCR tubes. The rotor is equipped with an aerosol-tight, Easy-Twist-On biocontainment lid for ease of use and safe centrifugation, and accommodates 4 × 8 standard PCR strips or up to 32 × 0.2 ml individual PCR tubes. The Easy-Twist-On lid can also be used with standard rotors for the Pico and Fresco. The SORVALL Pico is an ultra-compact microcentrifuge capable of spinning (24) 1.5 or 2 ml tubes at speeds of up to 13,000 rpm (16,060 × g). With a footprint measuring just 9 × 13 inches, the Pico features a load-relief lid and an ergonomically designed lid grip for easy access to the rotor. A whisper-quiet brushless induction motor accelerates samples to maximum speed in a few seconds. The Pico's refrigerated counterpart is the compact and quiet SORVALL Fresco. Standstill cooling protects samples from freezing, while the CFC-free refrigeration system maintains constant temperatures of 0 - 4 C, even during extended centrifugation.
