TissueScan is a panel of normalized cDNAs from cancer tissues at various stages of progression. Scientists can quickly obtain a gene expression profile or a SNP profile across 200 cancer tissues using simple, real-time PCR with gene-specific or SNP-specific primers. This is especially useful for microarray data validation where candidate biomarkers are identified by comparing a relatively small number of samples. The tissue samples used for each type of TissueScan panel (colon, lung, thyroid, ovarian) cover all disease stages and are accompanied by comprehensive pathology reports.
