Pre-made GFC-Arrays are offered that are based upon a broad range of therapeutic and structural motifs (protein kinases, transmembrane, pharmaceutically tractable genome, etc.) As an example, the company represents a simple selection of the “Druggable Genome” GFC-Array. A thorough analysis of the druggable genome at OriGene with the InterPro domains (as defined by Hopkins and Groom 2002) revealed 2941 genes with unique LocusLink ID and 3,826 genes with unique RefSeq IDs (higher number is due to transcription variants) at NCBI. This druggable genome includes protein kinases, GPCRs, ion channels, proteases, phosphatases, nuclear hormone receptors, and many others. Of the 3,826 genes with RefSeq IDs, 2,823 are available at OriGene. The druggable gene collection at OriGene provides coverage of three-quarters of the druggable genome and provides a comprehensive collection of druggable genes in expression-ready format. The GFC-Array platform is built upon OriGene’s TrueClone collection of over 24,000 full-length cDNA clones.
