85 YCA-series diode-pumped solid-state (DPSS) lasers have output power of 25 mW at 561 nm. This output power can be used to compensate for fiber-coupling losses or optical throughput inefficiencies associated with scanning and imaging devices. The single-frequency output exhibits less than 3% peak-to-peak noise and is offered for fluorescence-induced imaging. 85 YCA-series lasers are suited for confocal laser scanning microscopy and for exciting Rhodamine, ROX, and Alexa Fluor dyes. These lasers have a nearly circular (<1.1:1 aspect ratio) and a linearly polarized beam with an M2 factor of less than 1.2. The conduction-cooled laser head incorporates thermoelectric cooling and automatic power control for stable, long-term operation. Power drift is less than 5% over 24 hours.
