48-Well Gradient Thermal Cycler
MJ Mini 48-well gradient thermal cycler allows reactions to be optimized for efficiency and accurate quantitation. With the addition of a MiniOpticon 2-color real-time PCR detector, the device is readily converted to a compact real-time system. Quick ramping and accurate temperatures ensure fast, reproducible runs. The device arrives at thermal uniformity quickly, producing the precision needed for sensitive assays such as quantitative PCR. Thermal gradient technology permits simultaneous incubation at eight different temperatures for optimizing reactions in a single run. Temperature performance matches or exceeds that of high-performance 96-well thermal cyclers. High-performance cycling options include Calculated or Block temperature control, automatic temperature increment, automatic time extension and adjustable ramp rates. A fully adjustable heated lid accommodates both full-height vessels and low-profile vessels. A 6 × 8 sample array accommodates 0.2 and 0.5 ml tubes, strip tubes and 48-well plates, and the device provides memory for up to 400 standard programs.
