VersArray ChipReader™ laser confocal scanners for imaging microarrays, feature high light collection efficiency, and use low laser power to excite the bottom end of the range without saturating the top end. The instruments contain high-efficiency matched optics systems, with each channel's laser and photomultiplier tube controlled independently through the full range. The result is sensitivity, repeatable accuracy, and excellent differentiation between spot responses and background level. In addition to low background, the systems feature enhanced weak signal detection, and produce virtually no photobleaching for long dye life.
