ProteomeLab™ DU® 800 Protein Characterization System is optimized for protein research. This UV/Vis spectrophotometer system includes all required accessories and software applications, including a Peltier controller to maintain accurate and constant temperatures without the need for a water bath. The Protein Assay Analysis application determines the total protein concentration with pre-defined methods for common assays. The Enzyme Mechanism application can be used to characterize a protein by determining the speed of a reaction (rate) and the effects of a catalyst (enzyme). In addition, the effect of inhibitors can be analyzed.
