Apoptosis Detection
Kits with cell-permeable fluorogenic substrates are designed for detecting apoptosis in living cells. Magic Red® substrate provides sensitive reagents that produce a red fluorescence and are highly soluble in aqueous solution. These probes are capable of identifying sub-cellular sites of enzymatic activity, yet avoid photochemical damage to living cells. The substrate configuration results in quenched probes suited for applications requiring single-step assays such as direct measurement of enzymatic activity in cells and high throughput homogeneous screening assays. Four kits are available for detection of Cathepsin B, Cathepsin L, Cathepsin K and Caspase 3.
